MISSION 100 Metre Rim Fire
Matches are scheduled on the Mission and District Rod and Gun Club Calendar.
Matches are held throughout the year and coincide with the Metallic Silhouette.
The Mission 100 Metre Rimfire Chair will set relays and assign benches to competitors.
The fee for monthly matches is set at $5.00.
The match in March shall be known as the BC Provincials and the fee is $20.00 per rifle.
AMMUNITION:
Any brand of factory loaded RIMFIRE ammunition may be used and must be the original, unaltered
factory cartridge case, powder and projectile. 60 rounds in 30 minutes are required for score.
CLASSES:
Unlimited:
Any firearm chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge may be used. There are no weight limits and no
dimensional restrictions to barrels or stocks, or limits on scope magnification. Any rest may be used that
prevents the barreled action from being affixed to the bench in an immovable manner.
Hunting/Sporter Rifle:
Any firearm chambered for a Rimfire cartridge may be used and there are no limits on scope
magnification. Rifle must be a repeater and must be able to hold 2 or more rounds in a removable
magazine except for tubular fed rifles. Single shot rifles no longer in production may qualify for a single
shot exemption. Rounds may be fed into the chamber either by hand or from the magazine.
Stock may be made of wood or synthetic but as manufactured by the manufacturer and less than 2.25
inches or under at its widest point. Maximum weight of 8.25 pounds as advertised by the manufacturer.
Rifle barrels must be made out of one piece of metal with no attachments except for what is needed to
attach the barrel to the action.
A bipod rest may be used on the fore end attached to the rifle stock stud or rail and must be of a type that
folds to transport while remaining attached to the rifle. A sand bag may be used for a rear rest near the
butt of the stock when a bipod is used. Sand bags alone fore and aft are permitted for new shooters
while finding an appropriate bipod.
Semi Auto Rifle:
Similar to the Hunting/Sporter Rifle except all rounds must be fed into the chamber from the magazine.
Rifles with a Linear Compensator should bring their thread protector as no attachments are permitted.
Precision Rimfire Series:
This category was created due to the proliferation of rifles for an event that is gaining national
acceptance. The rifles are too heavy to be Hunting/Sporter class so they are going to be in a class by
themselves while shooting under the auspices of the specific guidelines within their venue. Time
restrictions will be applied by the competitors in this class prior to the commencement of the shoot (10
rounds in 90 seconds). These rifles may be used within the Unlimited Benchrest class. Semi Auto Rifles
with a Linear Compensator are permitted.
Instructions: Use the top left target for a sighter. Shoot ten (10) shots at each of the remaining targets
on that page. Proceed to your next target and repeat the procedure. Shots touching a line are scored to
the higher value. Shots outside the scoring rings count as “0”. No additional shot(s) may be taken. Shots
on a target for score will count as the ten lowest scores. Maximum score is 600. Time allotted is 30
minutes and during monthly events, timing is taken from the Silhouette Range Officer/Chair.
Target Rifle:
Any firearm chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge may be used. There are no weight limits and no
dimensional restrictions to barrels or stocks. The rifle is equipped with Micrometer Adjusted Target
Sights. Any rest may be used that prevents the barreled action from being affixed to the bench in an
immovable manner. A spotting scope is recommended and the shooter may be assisted by a spotter in
order to meet the 30-minute time limit.
Instructions:
A Match consists of six Bulls-eye Targets. A sighter target is allowed. Ten shots are fired at each target
for score. Time is 30 minutes for 60 rounds for score. Contact Chair for targets.
Targets:
The 100 Yard Unlimited Match Target is used for Unlimited Rifle, Hunter/Sporting Rifle, Semi-Auto Rifle
and Precision Rimfire Series Rifle. Targets should be printed on Card Stock or Cover Stock (65 lb.). For
100 Metres the 10-ring measures approximately 1.17” and from the edge of the paper to the sighter
border is ½”. Contact the Chair for targets.
The Target Rifle Target prints an 8” bull. Contact the Chair for targets.
